Its origins trace back to Tibetan influence in the Himalayan region. As the dish travelled into Nepal, it evolved—wrapped in local spices, filled with buffalo or vegetables, and served with bold, tangy chutneys. Today, momos are everywhere in Nepal—from street corners in Kathmandu to family dinners in Pokhara.
